All the mascots that ever were - came about after Mr. Met was born in 1963.
2nd year the Mets were in existence. Lovable losers.
Brooklyn Dodgers left as did Willie Mays & the Giants in 1958 to West Coast
The Mets became the underdog team everyone rooted for & loved no matter how bad they were. NY had an NL team again.
HOF manager Casey Stengel. HOF Broadcasters in the booth, Ralph Kiner, Lindsay Nelson, Bob Murphy; Shea was being built for the great 1964 World's Fair.
The original 1962 yearbook has gone from $400 to $1,000 - scarce.
This in great shape (even rarer) & hard to find, is a must for the one who calls themselves a SERIOUS Mets fan.
Yearbooks were in Black/White, with a few color ads.
