Up for sale is a very rare and elegant pair of antique rimless eyeglass frames from the 1930s-1940s, made by American Optical (AO).
This is a "Rimway" or "drill-mount" style frame, where the lenses are held in place by screws at the bridge and temples. The distinctive octagonal lens shape is highly sought-after and the epitome of sophisticated Art Deco style. These are a "Ful-Vue" model, with the temple arms mounted high on the lens.
