I've changed the BIOS chip, controller capacitor, the battery, installed a battery holder, & replaced the fuse with a resetable one. If the controller port dies, just turn off the console for a few seconds & reboot it. Should work as good as new. To finish it all off, I have also removed the yellow from the console shell through a process called Retrobright (last two pics)

Console works great. It's an NTSC-J region console with a custom BIOS chip installed (can read any region games). This console can also read burned discs. You can customize the boot screen (dreamcast Swirl), & the home menu as well (see pictures). The chip also bypasses the SEGA logo screen for faster boots. To change BIOS settings, just enter settings and press start. This will bring up the BIOS menu where you can change the boot screen and menu options.
