Vintage flycatcher/plafonnier lightshade - Mottled pink

Beautiful vintage glass flycatcher / plafonnier lampshade in a soft mottled pink and white spatter‑glass design. This classic bowl‑shaped shade dates from the 1930s–1940s, when flycatcher shades were at the height of their popularity. Designed to hang from three chains, they were created to soften the brightness of early electric bulbs while adding a stylish decorative touch to the ceiling. The swirling pink-and-white pattern is typical of Hailwood & Ackroyd (Morley, Leeds) or Chance Brothers, both known for their distinctive spatter‑glass work.
